Filip Frič is a visual artist based in Berlin. He earned his degree from the Faculty of Arts at TUKE in Košice, studying under Peter Rónai and Svetlana Fialová. He also completed a year-long exchange at the Atelier of Painting at the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň under Vladimír Véla.
The art of Filip Frič centers on integrating drawing techniques with painting, combining lines, gradients, simple geometry and color fields into complete pictures. His work delves into themes of nostalgia, childhood, frivolity, boyish fascinations and the passage of time, aiming to evoke both visual intrigue and a sense of humor. Filip tries to slow down the rush of time, reflecting his Eastern European upbringing at a moment, when technology was just a fascinating promise, not a takeover, and when every toy felt alive.
